Evening Activities: Arbat Street & Panfilov Promenade Walk - Arbat Street in Almaty is a lively pedestrian zone in the city center, inspired by Moscow’s Arbat. It’s a favorite spot for both locals and

live portrait painters, handmade crafts, traditional Kazakh souvenirs, live music, and
plenty of cafes and ice cream stalls. Arbat is especially vibrant from spring
to fall and during weekends or holidays, offering a colorful taste of Almaty’s
creative and cultural life.
Shymbulak is Kazakhstan’s top mountain resort, just 25 km from Almaty in the Ile-
Alatau mountains. In winter, it offers skiing and snowboarding on scenic slopes, while
summer brings hiking, zip-lining, and stunning views from the Talgar Pass at 3,200 m.
